Full of Grace Spirited Shopping is an online boutique offering Christian-themed jewelry, clothing and gifts. My client's hosting company (iPowerWeb) includes the installation of an osCommerce shopping cart in their Pro hosting plan.

osCommerce is an open source shopping cart web site package. This means it is available at no cost to the general public because it is developed by a community of volunteer programmers who donate their work to the project. OsCommerce comes standard with a large number of powerful features that make it a popular, and affordable alternative to a custom shopping cart system.

The default installation of OsCommerce (see Screen 2 above) will provide you with a functioning shop right out of the box. All you need to do is add your products. You may, however, wish to customize the look of your store to match your existing website, or give it a unique appearance. Also a number of contributions and modules have been developed to enhance various aspects of store performance. You may find that customizing your store can be quite a challenge! Full of Grace Spirited Shopping uses PayPal Web Payments Standard to process credit card payments. Their US customers do not need to have a PayPal account to check out with a credit card, but it is an option. They have also implemented PayPal's Encrypted Website Payments to add secure e-commerce functionality to their website and emails. Using encryption enhances the security of website payments by decreasing the possibility that a 3rd party could manipulate the data in your button code.

This client also elected to purchase a 128 bit SSL certificate from GeoTrust in order to offer their customers the highest level of encryption or security possible. Communications between the customer's browser and this site's web server are private and secure.
